The real Obama problem with Bill Ayers

Obama’s claims that since he was eight years old when Bill Ayers was involved in terrorist activity. This is supposed to somehow make his very recent relationship with Ayers O.K. The problem with that is Bill Ayers became a terrorist because of extremely radical anti-American political views, and these political views of Ayers have not changed as he has said that he wished they had done more. He has even been photographed standing on a wadded up American flag to demonstrate his contempt for America as we all know and love it today. These things have happened after his relationship started with Obama and obviously Obama has not been eight years old for a long time. Thus, the 8 year old argument totally misses the mark as a defense for his Bill Ayers relationship.

The huge problem for Obama is what did an extreme left wing radical (Bill Ayers) see in Obama when he hosted an event in his home to launch Obama’s run for the state senate of Illinois? Are we to believe that Ayers was supporting someone who did not share his extreme left wing views? Are we to believe that Obama did not have a clue about the extreme leftist anti-American views of Ayers? Does the eight year old smoke screen help explain this connection? Obama also worked with Ayers and served on the same board of directors. Obama was chosen by Ayers to disburse money from a foundation to promote radical education policies. Does the ole eight year old argument when Ayers was engaged in criminal activity sanitize Obama’s relationship with a man who has not changed any of his radical anti-American Marxist views?Obama’s problem with Ayers does not have anything to do with being eight years old when Ayers was engaged in terrorism.

Obama’s problem with Ayers concerns his relationship when he was in his thirties and forties because Ayers is the same despicable anti-American now that he was forty years ago.

The Jazzycat Institute for Guilt Free Mental Health is proud to announce the formation of the Jazzycat Institute for Advanced Governmental Resources Allocation. We are calling our new Institute JIAGRA for short. JIAGRA is the brain child of the liberal leaning partners of the Jazzycat Institute for Guilt Free Mental Health. Go to Best of Jazzycat in the right sidebar and click on Jazzycat Carbon Credits for more information on this mental health think tank.

After intensive study, the liberal partners determined that mental health was only part of what the whole person needed to cope in this post-modern secular culture. What good is mental health if a person does not have physical well-being as well? JIAGRA is the result of inspiration received when presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s idea for free health insurance and $5000.00 for every child born in the United States became news. JIAGRA simply took the Clinton idea to the next level. Thus, JIAGRA sought to devise ways that work, responsibility, effort, and the boring burdens of having to provide for oneself could be removed in our lifetime for the loyal activist special interest groups that have, for decades, faithfully petitioned for ever increasing government aid. We think good mental health would result from government provided benefits such as food, shelter, health care, personal transportation, and spending money and that the time has come when this brave new world can be implemented. Although the abilities and efforts of our citizens cannot be made equal, we can certainly insure that their outcomes can be equalized. After all, slothfulness should not sentence a person to a life of reduced prosperity.

JIAGRA’s ultimate goal is to make every day like a day at Disney World for every citizen. While many of the troublesome details have not been worked out, the following is the basic plan that has been inspired by the Clinton democratic party philosophy of a government that cares:

(1) One hundred thousand dollars for every child born in America.

(2) Children will become eligible to decide in the second grade whether or not they want to pursue a career in the work force or simply retire to a guarantee of all of the benefits previously mentioned.

Note: The second grade was chosen because of the following statement by John Edwards in a Democrat debate: “I don’t want to make that decision on behalf of my children,” he said. “I want my children to be able to make that decision on behalf of themselves, and I want them to be exposed to all the information, even in — did you say second grade?” While not talking about early retirement, the concept of 2nd graders making their own decisions was firmly established by this comment.

(3) Second graders that opt for retirement will only have to participate in the school activities of their choosing and no performance judgments such as grades will be allowed during their school career. While they will be free to come and go as they please during academic classes, they will be required to attend government approved films and assembly programs to enhance their socialization and multi-culture sensitivity.

(4) Second graders who choose to pursue selfish goals of achievement through learning will be allowed to take English, math, history, and science courses rather than music, film appreciation, conflict resolution, and tolerance appreciation. These ambitious and motivated students will someday serve the state by providing the necessary services in the fields of engineering, business, medicine, science, etc. However, the state will have to monitor these people very carefully because they have historically had many undesirable traits. History has shown them to be greedy, tax evading, goal setting, highly focused people that are intolerant of diversity and judgmental of alternative unproductive life styles. Their efforts are necessary for the state, but they must not be allowed to think that their hard work and productivity merits them any greater rewards or worth than those that choose retirement in the second grade.

How will this innovative plan be paid for? Creative taxation and requests for assistance from the U.N. will be the key to providing the funding for this bold new plan that insures fairness for all. Indeed this new plan has brought so much excitement to liberals everywhere that JIAGRA has named it the “super duper great society.”

WARNING:
If you have high blood pressure, take heart medication and listen to Rush Limbaugh, please refrain from reading the fine print of this JIAGRA plan.

New name for Obama's church?

Main Blog Sweet Jazzy Cat

Obama's church shall now be referred to as The Trinity United Comedy Club. There is a new comedian in charge and guest comedians appear from time to time. The same group that used to be called a church family should now be called an audience. They are an audience that appreciates and wildly cheers the racist comedy of mocking professing Christians by their comedians who masquerade as pastors. Their facade of being a church has been exposed, but they are certainly an excellent comedy club that deals in racism and anti-American humor.

Yes, we can't

Main Blog Sweet Jazzy Cat

Barack Obama said the following yesterday………

“We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,"

Hmmm, we must seek the approval of other countries and if they don’t say O.K., we will have to give up our SUVs, go hungry, and give government power over our thermostats. I believe Kerry called this lunacy meeting the global test. Evidently in these people’s eyes we should submit to a coercive global government and reduce our prosperity to the world average to be kind and fair. Can you imagine the world-view one must have to make such a statement. Actually I can. It sounds like a statement that would come directly from a sermon by Obama's pastor, Jermiah Wright.

No, Mr. Obama! The solution is to bring freedom and capitalism to the rest of the world so they can raise their prosperity. Destroying the American economic system is not the answer. The danger of believing the manipulated global warming hysteria is displayed here for all to see.

Example of liberal theological elitism!

The following was found on the blog of a young liberal United Methodist pastor who agreed with this premise he had read in some stupid book:

"Most North American Christians assume that they have a right, if not an obligation, to read the Bible. I challenge that assumption. No task is more important than for the church to take the Bible out of the hands of individual Christians in North America. Let us no longer give the Bible to all children when they enter the third grade or whenever their assumed rise to Christian maturity is marked, such as eighth-grade commencements. Let us rather tell them and their parents that they are possessed by habits far too corrupt to read the Bible on their own.North American Christians are trained to believe that they are capable of reading the Bible without spiritual and moral transformation. They read the Bible not as Christians, not as people set apart, but as democratic citizens who think their "common sense" is sufficient for "understanding" the Scripture. They feel no need to stand under the authority of a truthful community to be told how to read. Instead they assume that they have the "religious experience" necessary to know what the Bible is about."

There you have it, liberal elites believe they and their institutions (church, government) must be in charge of taking care of all of us stupid people as only they know what is best for us……….Can you say arrogance! Arrogance, amen….

Bear in mind that this man, who thinks he should tell us what to think and believe, asserts a belief in many ways to God through other religious “traditions” along with other heresies. But, we just have to understand that he knows how to interpret the Bible and we don't.

Should the church be political as Jim Wallis and liberal Christians proclaim?

The liberal Christians that are promoting a temporal physical political church speak often about social justice. I just wonder how they would answer the following questions……………..

1) Are the unborn babies killed by abortion being denied social justice?
2) Is it social justice to overtax hard working responsible people in order to provide benefits for physically and mentally healthy, but irresponsible slothful people?
3) Does #2 amount to state sanctioned theft?
4) Should America provide equal opportunity or equal outcome?
5) Does social justice need socialism to be implemented?
6) Does individual economic fairness mean economic equality for all?
7) Does the Bible teach a socialistic governmental system?
8) Did Jesus teach men have problems that have governmental solutions?
9) Is Jim Wallis right when he speaks of God’s politics?
10) Is the Jim Wallis vision of God’s politics and social justice nothing more than repackaged Marxist economics?

Conversation with atheist continued

The following statements occurred in an exchange I had with an atheist in a comment thread on a post about the recently released movie, “EXPELLED, No Intelligence Allowed.” I will show his statements in bold red followed by my answers. His comments were in response to a comment of mine so I will give background where necessary. Also, the only supreme being that I recognize or will defend is the triune Christian God of the Old and New Testaments.

Also, we don’t know that matter/energy came into existence from nothing; they may have always existed in some form.

Since something coming from nothing apart from any outside cause is nonsense, this is the only possibility. Something must have the power of self-existence and being in and of itself. Either matter/energy has had an eternal self-existence or some form of intelligent being is eternally self-existent.

About ten or so years ago scientists concluded that the expanding universe will continue to expand and will in time burn out much like a candle. This expanding and dying universe points to a beginning. If the matter/energy of the universe were eternal then this end would have already happened. This also point to a beginning. Scientists refer to this beginning as the big bang. Therefore, the matter/energy of the universe had a beginning. Since it is nonsense to assert that matter/energy came from nothing without a cause, which leaves the possibility of the universe beginning without an uncaused cause (supreme being) about as close to impossible as you can get.

Your assertion that a lack of belief in the existence of something for which there is no evidence is equivalent to the belief in something for which there is no evidence is absurd.

While the Christian religion requires faith, it is not without evidence. You may discount all the evidence without considering the claims, but it is there and many believe it nonetheless. The following is a list of some of the evidence that certainly enhances faith:

1) Historical record of the nation of Israel from Old Testament writings spanning over a thousand years.

2) Archeological verification of Old Testament history.

3) Many Old Testament prophecies of Jesus Christ that were fulfilled by the historical Jesus.

4) New Testament gospels and epistles written by eyewitnesses of the miracles and resurrection of Jesus.

5) The resurrection of Jesus with over 500 witnesses who saw him after the event.

6) The New Testament gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts that were written by Dr. Luke who asserts that he made careful investigation with eyewitnesses of things he wrote about.

7) The fact that the 11 Apostles that were frightened to death shortly after the execution of Jesus suddenly became emboldened and started the Church in spite of persecution and ultimately execution for all but one them. Perhaps one or two people would be so deluded as to be persecuted and die for a lie, but it seems they have a strong case for their writings.

8) Saul of Tarsus. His change from persecutor of Christians to leading spokesman due to his Road to Damascus experience is compelling.

9) Time measured in BC and AD referring to the life of Jesus

Therefore, your assertion is incorrect when you state there is no evidence. There is plenty of evidence

The point of the movie is to make money by mischaracterizing scientists, spinning recent events in academia, and trotting out long-refuted absurdities that make select movie-goers feel good about their philosophical commitments………… To that, I say that if these clowns were genuinely concerned about truth, they could have spent the time and energy to educate themselves about matters in which they are profoundly ignorant, instead of making a movie that supported their naive and uniformed beliefs.

Slander and personal attacks are a characteristic of debating tactics from the left. Although I don’t know for sure, I would guess that you are liberal in your politics and world-view. If so you are resorting to one of their favorite tactics rather than stick to the issues.

Despite immense evidence for evolution and none for any gods, people stubbornly cling to their unsupported belief systems, and accuse others of close-mindedness or stifling debate or even oppression.

The debate here is not about the evidence for evolution, but is about the possibility that intelligent design may be at work in the origin of the species. Since a non-intelligent design evolution cannot even offer a theory on how life began from non-life, I would think the possibility of intelligent design being the cause would at least be worthy of investigation. Instead, the Darwinists will not even allow this to be investigated. As I pointed out earlier, the evidence for the Christian God of the Bible is considerable, yet you and the Darwinists say there is none whatsoever. From a scientific standpoint this is not about clinging to a belief system. It is about allowing scientists to consider and attempt to prove I.D. without being fired and black-balled. Firing proponents of I.D. has been a matter of public record for many years and to deny this is rather disingenuous. The current PC policy on I.D. is no debate allowed and you know it. A close similarity can be seen in the man made global warming hysteria debate where Al Gore and many others have arrogantly declared, “The debate is over.” Do you really expect objective discerning people not to notice this kind of manipulation, coercion, and propaganda?

On the subject of man made global warming you said….. Evidence determines the consensus; not the other way around. What motivation do scientists have for suppressing or ignoring evidence?

It should work that way, but in the global warming debate I have seen and can prove that data manipulation and propaganda from the news media has been used to drive public opinion and consensus. Time Magazine’s latest cover has a green simulation of the flag raising of Iwo Jima of soldiers pushing up a tree. Time also had a cover with eggs frying on pavement. Of course 30 years ago during a cooling period they were warning of the coming ice age. Glacier calving in Glacier Bay National Park was used by CNN as evidence of global warming the very week I visited that Park and read in their brochure where the glaciers had receded 50 or so miles from the late 1700’s to around 1870. Check out on their website. The world started coming out of a little ice age about 200-300 years ago. The earth has been in a warming trend since then. Prior to the little ice age people were farming in Iceland, but they were forced to leave during this cooling period. Factors such as the Sun burning hotter in last ten or so years (check it out with google) has also had an effect. There are also mini cooling and warming cycles. You say that science has really improved since they were warning of cooling in the seventies. Really, how can you be so sure with so many scientists saying that our CO2 contributions are insignificant.

Surely you can see some motivation for suppressing, ignoring and spinning evidence when huge amounts of money for grants are at stake and it is well documented that those who do question the consensus lose grant money and come under much criticism and political pressure.

Example:
CNSNews.com) - The political climate isn't good for scientists with dissenting views on global warming, leaving some researchers to fear that honest research could be blackballed in favor of promoting a "consensus" view. A dispute erupted this week in Oregon, where Gov. Ted Kulongoski is considering firing the state's climatologist George Taylor, who has said human activity isn't the chief cause of global climate change.

I even heard global warming activists blame the unseasonably cold weather of April 07 on global warming.

I could go on with more examples and evidence, but you get idea.

In closing the movie "EXPELLED" is not about promoting I.D. as it is about showing the intimidation and tactics used to shut down any attempt to investigate I.D. If evolution were a ten story building it would have no foundation and no first floor. It would be held up by cranes and cables. You would think that the owner of such a building would be eager to build a foundation and a first floor.

Dawkins admits he doesn't know how life came from non-life

In the movie “Expelled, No Intelligence Allowed” Richard Dawkins admits that he does not know how life came from non-life. He even speculated that life on planet earth could have been seeded by intelligent aliens from outer space. He and all Darwin atheists are quite simply basing their atheism on faith without knowledge. In asserting that life came from non-life without a creator, they are discounting a possible answer. Worse still, they are rejecting a possible answer without the data or proof to do so. If that were not enough, they want to discredit and censor anyone who wants to consider the possibility of intelligent design.

The bottom line is that Darwin based atheism is a faith based belief system without any scientific proof that seeks to limit scientific investigation. They have been very successful in that objective in the United States.

The church of Darwin

The church of Darwin's ten commandments

1) Thou shalt have no other theories before mine.

2) Thou shalt not allow any books with any other theories in thy schools. Such books shalt be banned and teachers that teach or mention any other theories shalt be fired.

3) Thou shalt not take evolutionary theory in vain or make fun of Darwinism by making fun of humans evolving from monkeys.

4) Remember Charles Darwin day on February 12 and keep it relevant. For billions and billions of years life evolved on planet earth through natural selection and mutations. Remember Darwin day and honor his legacy through global celebrations and propaganda.

5) Honor others that follow after Darwin such as Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, and elite humanists world-wide. Also, honor your parents if they believe Darwin theory.

6) Thou shalt not be restrained from engaging in any sexual behavior between consenting people and adultery is just a fundamentalist religious concept with no meaning.

7) Thou shalt not kill, unless elite Darwin humanists authorize it in such cases as abortion.

8) Thou shalt not steal unless elite humanist socialists authorize it to redistribute wealth and further Darwin policy.

9) Thou shalt not bear false witness unless it is done to promote the objectives of elitist government officials. Propaganda based on lies is acceptable to promote politically correct objectives such as Darwinism and global warming hysteria.

10) Covet anything you want and carry your desires to the elite humanists government officials who will place you in a waiting line and decide the merits of your case in a week or perhaps a year or two.

The church of Darwin is building a new cathedral of nine floors consisting of 2 through 10. The foundation and first floor will be added later when elite cosmetologists devise a theory for the origin of matter/energy. Until the foundation and first floor are built, ya'll be careful now ye hear!

Teens and lewd cell phone photos

On a recent news show the host reported that young teens were caught sending nude photos of themselves over cell phones to their boy friends and girl friends. Amazingly, they zeroed in on technology as being the problem. There was not any mention of the parents or school official’s failure to teach ethical standards as being a cause for the problem. Their consensus seemed to be that technology was the reason that this has become widespread in America today.

In the same week, another story was reported where a group of third graders were caught before carrying out a plot to kill their third grade teacher. One of the third graders was caught with a steak knife. About nine students were involved and other items were brought such a duct tape, handcuffs, etc. Students were assigned different tasks including cleaning up the blood. It is not clear if anyone has yet blamed the steak knives or duct tape, but it is still early and in our society where everyone is a victim, who knows what will happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if the duct tape company were not sued.

There is a common problem in both of these two cases. It is not cell phones, technology, or duct tape. The problem is obvious and results are predictable. The Bible clearly shows that human beings are not born basically good. Without parental and adult oversight and guidance, children will adopt unhealthy and destructive behavior. Too many young people in America are being deprived of adult supervision and discipline. The results are predictable as we are seeing more and more violence, and lewd behavior in our society.

So-called experts are going so far as to claim that low self-esteem is the problem, when the exact opposite is at work in America today. People in general and youth in particular have an extremely inflated self-esteem and it is a problem that will get worse unless addressed.

Was Jesus political?

I received the following comment on a previous post:

"I once heard the then Archbishop of Cape Town, the Very Reverent Desmond Tutu say 'I am puzzled which Bible people are reading when people say politics and religion do not mix'. Of course Jesus was political. He fought for the rights of the poor, the meek, the downtrodden, the women, the Samaritans, the ill, the despised etc. etc. It was that that really upset the Romans."

I don’t know if this is an accurate quote or not. However, let us see what Scripture says about whether, Jesus Christ, the son of God was political. The prophet Isaiah foretold about 700 years before Jesus was born the following about Him in Chapter 53:

Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faceshe was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on himthe iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? 9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.

There is no mention of Him being political, but rather coming to planet earth to be the lamb of God and to make atonement for the sins of His people.

Matthew says:
Matthew 1:21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
Again, there is no mention of political objectives. His objective was to make atonement for sins.

When Jesus began his ministry He began to preach the following message:
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Here Jesus mentions the kingdom of heaven.

Is this an earthly political kingdom? Jesus answers the question directly:
John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
Therefore, the Kingdom of God is not a political Kingdom.

What about Jesus’ teaching about helping the poor, the meek, the downtrodden, women, etc? The Sermon on the Mount is considered the greatest sermon ever given and Jesus goes into detail about Christian ethics and how Christians should treat their fellow man. However, it is not political, but is a teaching about personal behavior and ethics. In this sermon and in many other places Jesus exhorts his disciples to show mercy, kindness, and compassion not through political objectives, but through personal action. Therefore, the message of Jesus was for his disciples to show mercy, kindness, etc. to the helpless and poor with their own resources. I know my church and many churches have mercy ministries to do this very thing. Christian disciples as individuals should also be very much in the business of showing mercy and compassion to the poor.

The last instructions that Jesus gave his disciples is recorded in Matthew 28:19-20.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

This would have been a perfect time for Jesus to give political instructions, but once again he was silent on making any political statement. Again, I don’t know how accurate the Bishop Tutu quote above is, but Jesus did not engage in a political fight with the Romans over the rights of the poor. Jesus was crucified because of the Jewish leaders (Matthew 26:57-68) and not because he upset the Romans. His mission on earth was first and foremost to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah 53 by being the lamb of God and making atonement for sin. He also taught ethical standards of the new covenant, preformed miracles, and fulfilled all righteousness by his perfect obedience to the law of Moses. He was 100% successful in all that he intended to do. To assert that he fought a political fight for the poor, etc. is to assert that he failed in an objective while he was on planet earth. This is nonsense and heresy. He succeeded in everything he did and took great pains to not be political.

Does God ordain bad rulers?

I received the following interesting questions on my previous post and decided to do another post rather than answer in the comment thread………

Question #1: If Obama does become president, how does that fare with your opinion that rulers of a country are God ordained. Will your conscience allow you to follow, respect him and agree that he is the right man?

Although God ordains all that comes to pass, He often times gives people over to their sin and desires (Romans 1). Since many in this country are increasingly buying into the lie that government has the ability to provide prosperity for all, it is possible that Obama may be elected. This in no way means that he or his policies are best for America and that everyone should roll over and support everything he proposes. The Bible in no way teaches such folly. For example: God also ordained that Hitler would come to power in Germany for His (God’s) own purposes. This does not mean he caused Hitler to come to power, but that he allowed it to happen. We know the rest of the story. One day God will restore planet earth with his redeemed people in the eternal state (Romans 8 & Revelation). Until that happens the earth will never be without troubles, strife, and political upheaval. The following Scripture passages give an indication of this truth:

The length of our days is seventy years or eighty, if we have the strength; yet
their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away
(Psalm 90:10).

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what
is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please
(Isaiah 46:10).

For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of
the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not
willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the
creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the
freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole
creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
(Romans 8:19-22)

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33).

Question #2: Will your conscience allow you to follow, respect him and agree that he is the right man?

Unless Obama changes his political philosophy by about 180 degrees, I will not follow, respect or agree that he is the right man. I will continue to proclaim and promote capitalism and conservatism as the best system for America. This will probably put me in opposition to Obama on nearly everything. We are called to pray for our leaders and if he is elected, I will pray that God will change his views on many things such as his support for the murder of innocents through abortion in general and partial birth abortion in particular.

While no system is perfect, I am convinced that the free enterprise system provides the most freedom, opportunity, and prosperity than any kind of socialistic government system. All government systems have a tendency to become corrupt and that is why the Christians that founded the United States implemented a constitution that has three equal branches of government to provide checks and balances against corruption. Unfortunately, we have seen the judicial branch overstep it's role and much unauthorized (by the constitution) policy is being implemented against the will of the people as a result.

It is a perversion of the teachings of Jesus to assert that he taught left wing socialist political principles. For a government to confiscate wealth from achievers to redistribute it to non-achievers is not a teaching of Jesus or the Bible. As a matter of fact it violates the commandment that says “thou shalt not steal.” Jesus taught that Christian disciples have a personal responsibility to help the poor, downtrodden, etc. through voluntary giving and action, not by a coercive government. This does not mean government should not provide a safety net, but as Ronald Regan said, “government should not provide a hammock.”

I am working on and will do a post on that subject very soon.

Obama and his pastor: connecting the dots

dis·cern·ment: the faculty of discerning; discrimination; acuteness of judgment and understanding.

judg·ment: the ability to judge, make a decision, or form an opinion objectively, authoritatively, and wisely, esp. in matters affecting action; good sense; discretion: a man of sound judgment.

For Obama to remain in a church for approximately 20 years where the pastor habitually spewed anti-American hate to a cheering congregation points to an amazing lack of discernment or judgment on his part. To claim he was unaware points to an unbelievable lack of discernment. If he were aware, then it points to an unbelievable lack of judgment to not remove himself from such a church. Which is it?

Now that he is aware, he states that he is remaining in his church because Wright is retiring and he has such strong ties to his church family. This church family is the same congregation that is seen enthusiastically cheering Wright’s hateful racist and anti-American rhetoric in the recently released videos. Can you imagine a Republican staying in a church family made up of a KKK type mindset? About a year ago (April 2007) the following quote by Wright appeared in the NY Times:
“If Barack gets past the primary, he might have to publicly distance himself from me,” Mr. Wright said with a shrug. “I said it to Barack personally, and he said yeah, that might have to happen.”

The dots are connected. There is nothing wrong with Obama's discernment. Obama's problem is with judgment, truthfulness, and his world-view. America's problem is to avoid being duped!

Southern Baptist Convention caves to global warming alarmists

The Southern Baptist Convention has caved to global warming alarmists with A Southern Baptist Declaration on the Environment and Climate Change declaration that can be found HERE

We at Jazzycat beg to differ and offer the following:

The following is a direct quote from the Coral Ridge link given below:

Should you be worried about global warming? The answer is "No," for two reasons: first, we cannot stop it, and second, it is not likely to do us significant harm. In fact, Dr. E. Calvin Beisner says that global warming "is more likely to do us some significant benefit." What else don't you know about global warming? Dr. D. James Kennedy and Dr. E. Calvin Beisner tell you, on Truths That Transform.

This is an interesting interview that can be found HERE
I choose to believe Dr. Kennedy, Coral Ridge Ministries, and many scientists over Al Gore, media propaganda and many intimidated scientists.

Barack Obama's Church Statement

The following is the statement from the About Us page of the website of the The Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois. It is the church of Barack Obama.........

"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."

Hmmmmmmm! Excuse me, but I would prefer the President of the United States attend a church where the members identify themselves as "American people."

Me Too!

This week the youngest democratic super delegate made his decision on who he was going to cast his vote for at the democratic convention. It was not his choice that I found interesting, but it was the reason he gave for deciding to cast his vote for Obama. According to a CNN report, he said the major reason for his decision was because the overwhelming majority of young voters supported Obama.

This appears to be the state of American education and American post-modern thinking today. Wait for a consensus to form and follow it. The almost reverent praise that is given to people working together to “build a consensus” has become disgusting. Leadership is having the courage to discern the right thing and then doing it even if you are in a small minority or alone. Leadership is considering all views, but then making an independent decision based on ones own idea of what is correct for the given situation. “Consensus building” has been elevated to the highest virtue that a leader can have in our culture today. It has a lot of advantages in that it will always be a popular position since it is the majority view. It provides a person with a lot of cover when the consensus is proven wrong because the blame can be spread through the entire group. A person in such a pickle can go to the boss and say, “Sir, I know it didn’t work out but we were all in agreement.”

As bad as consensus building can be in the pursuit of excellence, it is even worse in the political sphere. It is nothing short of yielding to a cult-like mob rule.

Here you have it illustrated in living color as this youngest of all the democratic super delegates has made his decision based on what the mob wants!

From April 3, 2006 column by George Will

Science magazine (Dec. 10, 1976) warned of "extensive Northern Hemisphere glaciation." Science Digest (February 1973) reported that "the world's climatologists are agreed" that we must "prepare for the next ice age." The Christian Science Monitor ("Warning: Earth's Climate is Changing Faster Than Even Experts Expect," Aug. 27, 1974) reported that glaciers "have begun to advance," "growing seasons in England and Scandinavia are getting shorter" and "the North Atlantic is cooling down about as fast as an ocean can cool." Newsweek agreed ("The Cooling World," April 28, 1975) that meteorologists "are almost unanimous" that catastrophic famines might result from the global cooling that the New York Times (Sept. 14, 1975) said "may mark the return to another ice age." The Times (May 21, 1975) also said "a major cooling of the climate is widely considered inevitable" now that it is "well established" that the Northern Hemisphere's climate "has been getting cooler since about 1950."

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

Sweet Jazzy Cat 2

Sweet Jazzy Cat 2 is a companion blog to Sweet Jazzy Cat. Sweet Jazzy Cat was named after my now ten year old cat after I kept running into difficulty finding a blog name that wasn't already taken. Even Jazzy Cat was taken and this is why "sweet" had to be added. SJC 2 will be a blog that I will use for all kinds of content. Sweet Jazzy Cat will remain with a primary focus on Christian witness, theology, devotionals, and fellowship with other Bible believing Christians.

Both blogs will present content as seen from a Christian world view. Absolute truth as presented in the Holy Bible will be the foundation of both blogs.

The Bible often presents the absolute truth very concisely as the following passage about the human condition, Adam and Jesus will illustrate

Romans 5:19-20 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. (19) For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.

I would encourage everyone to make it their top priority to find out how a person is made righteous and do it without delay. As strange as it may seem even many professing Christians in our post-modern world seem to be unclear on how a person is made righteous with God.
